Ulices Ferris is a a member of the Assembly, the leadership of the Second Rebellion, and co-commander of the Revolution's army alongside Suri. After the Second Aretia Accord is signed, he becomes one of the generals of Tyrrendor's forces.

Biography[]

Not much is known about Ferris's life prior to the events of the series.

Major Ulices Ferris is participating in the Assembly meeting when Violet Sorrengail wakes up in Riorson House in Aretia following the battle at Resson. He advocates for the cadets to be allowed to return to Basgiath. Later, after over a hundred cadets leave Basgiath due to leadership's cover-up of venins and the true nature of the conflict with Poromiel, Ferris implies that the only reason Violet is there is because of Xaden or that Violet is a double agent seeking to give General Melgren information about the Rebellion's location. He demands that Violet be confined and questioned, before being rebuked by Xaden who uses his authority as the head of Riorson House and seventh member of the Assembly to shut down the discussion.[1]

After the signing of the Second Aretia Accord, command of Tyrrendor's forces fall to the remaining houses, including Ferris and Kylynn.[2] Later, when Riorson House is attacked by Venin including Theophanie, Ferris is away in Lewellen and unable to help defend it.[3]

Physical Description[]

Major Ferris is an older man with an eyepatch and a hawkish nose. Tufts of thinning gray hair frame the deep lines in his lightly tanned, weathered skin. His jowls hang down "like a wildebeest."[4] He has thick hands and a rounded belly.

Personality[]

Ulices Ferris is a severe man who is distrustful of Navarre and Violet.
