Quinn is a cadet at Basgiath War College. She's is a member of Fourth Wing, Flame Section, Second Squad with Imogen and Dain.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Not much is known about her first year in Basgiath, aside from the fact that she bonded Cruth and manifested the power of astral projection.
Originally, she was part of the Second Squad, Flame Section, Second Wing and she is one of the four first year cadets in her squad that survived to her second year - the others being Dain Aetos, Imogen Cardulo and Cianna.
Fourth Wing[]
At first, Quinn doesn't seem to care much about the first years. Only after the Threshing, she and Imogen sit with Violet Sorrengail at breakfast, deeming her and her squad worthy of attention now that they've bonded dragons. Quinn tells the first years "no use getting to know you when most of you die. No offense."[1]
During the Squad Battle, Quinn astral projects as herself. She acts as a decoy and lures a guard away from General Sorrengail's office. That helps the squad break into the office and steal a map of current outposts of Navarrian wings and the locations of current skirmishes in the last thirty days.[2]
“ | "I can astral project. Keep my body in one place and then walk around somewhere else. ... I know, it's pretty awesome." | ” |

In Montserrat, when Mira Sorrengail talks about a theoretical situation, Quinn talks about the protocol that should be followed by an attacked village. Mira chastises her that everything they were taught at Basgiath is theory and in real life, things often don't go according to the plan. This makes Quinn uncomfortable.[3]
Quinn is the one to help Violet put her hair up into a pretty arrangement before the celebrations for Reunification Day.[4]
She competes in War Games along with the rest of Second Squad for Fourth Wing, but says to Imogen when she returns from Aretia that "War Games sucked without you."[5]
Iron Flame[]
Quinn is at Graduation when Violet, Imogen, and the rest of the marked ones return. She says to Imogen "Gods, I missed you," and hip bumps her friend.[5]
At the party after Graduation, Quinn tells Violet and the other new second-years that "second year is the best. All of the privileges and only some of the responsibility of third-years." She also warns them against getting to close to the new first-years before Threshing.[6]
“ | "Can I offer a word of advice going into your second year? Don't get too close to the first years, especially not until Threshing tells you how many of them might actually be worth getting to know... Just trust me." | ” |
