• Violet and Rhiannon were originally called to be in Second Squad, Flame Section of the Second Wing under squad leader Dain Aetos, but were forced to switch with Aura Beinhaven who was the squad leader of Second Squad in the Flame Section, Fourth Wing.
• In the first book, Fourth Wing, before the Gauntlet, the Second Squad, Flame Section was the only one to not lose a member since the Parapet.
• Fourth Wing, Flame Section was named Iron Section in Iron Flame - under Bodhi Durran's leadership they did not lose a single cadet
• Fourth Wing, Flame Section, Second Squad was named Iron Squad two years in a row (both in Fourth Wing and Iron Flame)
