First Six

The First Six are a group of dragon riders who lived over 600 years before the beginning of Fourth Wing.

Biography

The First Six are the first group to successfully become dragon riders, 600 years before the beginning of Fourth Wing. The dragons of the First Six formed the first Empyrean and only bonded with humans because humans had the manual dexterity that was needed to weave wards or runes. They raised the first ward at Basgiath, which protects Navarre. They make up the first class of Basgiath War College.

The First Six fought in The Great War against General Daramor, who consequently ruined the land now known as The Barrens. Their allies included the Isle kingdoms. The Great War ended with the Unification of Navarre's six provinces and the crowning of King Reginald.
