Gonna try to revive it by posting stuff. first of all, xaden is alive. everybody's exploding about how he's venin and stuff, but... at least he's not dead like some of the other book bfs i've read about... cough cough.

Theory: at the start of the books it says basically jesinia transcribed the whole thing. i'll post the image if i find it. this gives us two options.

1) everyone is dead and jesinia used the ordeal to compile the books.

Could be proven wrong, as it's all from violet's pov and it's unconfirmed whether she kept a diary (probably not).

2) i like to think that jesinia would never translate their story if they didn't consent to it, since she knew that violet knew how scribes twisted the history and didn't want to be part of a flawed history. so if she consented to it, that means she is alive, which means xaden is.

Ok so I recently finished Onyx Storm for the 2nd time and my oh my I came so close to tearing the book to shreds when I reached the end.

I am in desperate need of any theories that you guys have about the end. Here are some of the main things I really, really want to know about.

1. Who Xaden's new brother is

2. What Imogen did to Violet

3. Literally anything that will dull the pain and suffering

Ok so for #1, I think that it could potentially be Garrick because he was doing his walking signet thingy all over the continent so he could have channeled because he was close to burn out and needed more power.

For #2, I think Violet asked Imogen to wipe her memory of the last hours she had with Xaden because it hurt too much. I think her saying "What you asked me to" in response to Violet asking what she did proves this but does anyone else have any other ideas?

For #3, I have nothing else. I did hear a theory that Violet might be pregnant, and feel the need to carry it to term cos Xaden is now gone. But I don't really like or agree with this.

So if any of you have ANY theories I would really appreciate it.

So im reading iron flame and i'm confused with a section, where after cat and violet fought and then xaden took her to this chair and all that "stuff" happened... where he let her in his mind by accident, while they were "busy" and then he pulls back to the other side of the room, Why did he do that? What happened that made him upset?

Can someone plz tell me what the seventh Dragon den is? I know there's red, black, blue, green, orange, and brown. . . So what's the seventh? Coz they need 7 to activate the wards correctly, so I'm confused.

You guys I just started this series last week and I'm already on Iron Flame! I LOVEEEE IT! Tairn is so funny and I love how protective he is over Violet! I just finished the part where he defended Violet after Solas burnt her back and he is such a great character ughhh. I need to pace myself though because I don't want it to end!

Hi, I wrote a short fanfic with my own characters. I'm only halfway through Iron flame so pls don't give me spoilers. I'll update with my fanfic soon. Also, I noticed this fandom isn't really active with not many discussions. Kinda want someone to talk to about some of my questions. Anyway, hope you guys like it!

There. In a large clearing stood an impossibly tall, beautiful blue dragon. Scarlet gaped in awe. The only blue willing to bond this year. Gosh, how do I approach a blue again? Then she spotted the unmistakable barb of a scorpiontail swishing behind the dragon. Wow. Oh! Right. Blues are the most ruthless of all types. That's…not a good thing. How did I ever think I’d survive threshing? Shifting her position to observe the dragon better, she rustled the leaves of the bushes in her hiding spot. The dragon’s head snapped around and locked eyes with her.

No no no no! Scarlet immediately dropped her gaze to the ground, praying to Dunne to give her strength to hold her ground. “Run and you’ll be torched” Her professor's words ring in her head and as she stole a glance up towards the dragon she almost jumped two feet into the air when she saw the dragon meters away from her face, as though studying her intently.

The dragon stared at her for a while longer before letting out a huff of steam, blowing back Scarlet’s long brown locks and stepping away from her. She let out a breath, grateful that she hadn’t been burned to ashes. At least not yet. She dropped her gaze once again before hearing loud footsteps coming her way, voices accompanying them.

A deep voice sounded nearby. “Come on! Hurry up before it flies away!” Scarlet looked around in panic and crouched down before the newcomers discovered she was here too. “Yeah well she’s heavy.” said a sarcastic voice. Then as Scarlet watched, two boys emerged from the dense forestation into the clearing dragging something, no someone behind them.

A second passed before they set the person down, which Scarlet now recognised as a girl in her squad, her name was… Triya? No, wait. Trisha. Trisha Marsh. Turning her attention back to the boys, she watched as he retrieved a dagger from a sheath in his clothes and turned to the dragon.

“Hey. Dragon.” Any self respecting person would know better than to directly address a dragon. “I’ve come to prove myself. I’ll kill this girl to prove that I am worthy to be your rider. Sounds like a fair deal?” Obviously, the dragon didn’t react, causing the boy to sigh in annoyance. “Well I’m doing it anyway.” Wait, what? No! Without thinking, Scarlet stood from her hiding spot, running towards the boy with the dagger. “Stop!”

Time stopped as she launched herself at him, trying to stop him from killing her squadmate. Scarlet flew in slow motion as he raised the dagger towards Trisha’s chest, directly above her heart. Then the moment ended as the impact hit, and all the air in her lungs escaped as she barrelled into him, rolling away from Trisha and the other boy.

Scarlet’s instincts kicked in and she got up as soon as she stopped rolling, drawing her own dagger. The boy got up and glared at her with his dark green eyes. “You ruined it!” “Yeah well you’re not killing her.” He was about to say something when his eyes widened in fear.

Turning around slowly, she came face to face with the dragon again, this time even closer. A velvety voice sounded in her head. “Do not worry, brave one, I will handle this.” Scarlet gasps as she hears the dragon speak to her. The dragon moves toward the boy and she takes a few steps back to let it pass. It growls at the boy, making him scramble to his feet and back away quickly.

Scarlet glances over at Trisha. She’s unconscious, but the boy’s friend has already left. She ran over to Trisha, checking her for injuries. Scarlet shakes Trisha softly to wake her up Cmon, please, wake up! Then sighs in relief as Trisha blinks, dazed, as she finally comes to consciousness.

After explaining quickly, Scarlet helps Trisha up to her feet and watches her leave to find a dragon to bond to. When Trisha is finally out of sight, Scarlet turns to the dragon. “Did you…speak to me just now?” The dragon turns to her. “Who else would I have been speaking to?”

“B-but dragons only speak to their riders…a-are you sure?” Scarlet stutters, barely believing what’s happening. “Sure about you? Why wouldn’t I be? And don’t say anything like you’re too weak.” Scarlet has nothing to say to that. “So…you want me to…mount?” “Yes, be quick.”

Scarlet takes a running jump at the dragon’s front leg, scaling it like she did during the gauntlet. She easily finds the seat and settles herself comfortably. You can hear my thoughts, right? I’m- “Scarlet Lorenz. I know. I am Estrelazulafiro, you may call me Firo. Now hold on tight.” Firo launches into the sky with Scarlet clinging on for dear life, and when she opens her eyes, she is met with the most beautiful view in her life.

This is amazing. “Indeed.” I think we will make a good pair, Firo. “I hope so, brave one. And dragons do not hope.” And as Firo flew towards the flight field, Scarlet wondered what would be to come.

Okay so what if naolin (tairns previous rider) isnt dead but turned venin. his signet was siphoning (like sloane) and he "died" saving brennans life. in one of the books it was mentioned that he succeded (obviously) but it "cost him everything". for riders, death is pretty much inevitable as soon as they step foot in the quadrant so i dont think thats what "everything" means. in onyx storm, everyone is kinda worried more about venin and turning venin than dying. also in my opinion, turning venin is worse than death. Tairn also refuses to talk about Naolin and changes the subject whenever violet talks about it. all this is making me think that when naolin saved brennans life, he didnt die but turned venin. i think that if im right then naolin is going to appear in book 4

I was sobbing uncontrollably when I read that. I just imagined all our friends and their dragons saying the last line to me and taking me away to place where I know I belong. Navarre will always be my home.

Andarna waited 650 years for Violet, even while being sure is she would even join the Rider's quadrant. Then, the other Irids insulted her and abandoned her. Yet she still chose to go with them. Why?!

Question for everyone, does anyone know where it's first mentioned Jesinia is deaf? I know it's mentioned she signs upon her introduction, but I mean the actual word 'deaf.' I do audiobooks so I don't quite know where in the first (or perhaps second?) book it was mentioned. Someone asked me, but I just simply don't know the answer. Thanks in advance if you can help!
